nfloffseason:

Brady & Bellichick: 116 Wins.
Today, the tandem won their 116th game together. That ties them with the immortal Dolphins combo of Shula & Marino for most wins by a Head Coach & QB pair. Say what you will about them, but they might have another 50 together & will probably reach 150, barring any unforeseen health issues. That would make it one of those records that may never be broken.
The longevity for Coaches & QB’s is now so short in the modern NFL, it’s really hard to imagine two guys working together for 15 seasons & averaging 10 wins in each of those campaigns. Brady(116) is about to pass Montana(117) & Unitas(118) for career wins, leaving only Tarkenton(124), Manning(141, having starting his career two seasons before Brady, with each now having missed an entire season due to injury), Marino(147), Elway(148), & Favre(186). That means we’d need to see a Top 5 All-Time QB team up with a Top 10 All Time Head Coach. I don’t know about you, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
